PRESIDENT'S MESSAGE

Dear Patrons,

Greetings from the entire team at CSSAR!

Another eventful year has been completed and the highlights are captured in this Annual Report for the year 2017-18. The various centers have strengthened their teaching systems over the year which has greatly enhanced the sustainability of CSSAR. With the addition of two new centers, the total number of students has increased to 646 registering a growth of 90 students. A full time program manager has been appointed during the year to conduct and monitor the quarterly tests, provide feedback reports, coordinate with volunteers and supervise the centers. The focus brought on to improve quality of the education is also paying off with the students registering better scores in the school examinations.  Greater emphasis is now being laid on teachers to continuously improve the learning abilities as well as monitor the results of each student.  Teachers were provided training by experts on innovative techniques, critical thinking and subject focus on mathematics and science. The centers now can boast of a very competent, dedicated and motivated team of teachers who form the backbone of CSSAR.

Adequate attention continues to be given to provide extracurricular exposure to students by way of educational tours through visits to historical and heritage sites and other modern landmarks in and around Delhi, visiting Bal Bhawan, participating in tree planting ceremonies and displaying their projects in science fairs. Students are regularly encouraged to show off their talent in art, poetry, music, dance etc through informal events and prize distribution ceremonies.

We are proud to present the success stories of two of our students. Dipika Rani has not only passed her 10th board exam with 84.4% marks in 2018, but she also secured the top most rank in the Govt Sr Secondary School, Bajghera. Dipika has been associated with CSSAR since her upper primary days. She was introduced to our study centre in Jan, 2014 when she started showing interests in studies and became regular in school. With their unique way of teaching our teachers Poonam and Rajni won the heart of Dipika easily and motivated her to improve her scores in future. She is also good at drawing and dancing and she aspires to be a perfect teacher in future. CSSAR is proud of Dipika and would be happy to help her to achieve her dreams.  Neha is a student of Sarvodaya Kanya Vidyalaya, Chand Nagar and has qualified her 10th class board exam with 68% marks. She was introduced to our primary level centre by Sardeep Kaur when she started developing interests in studies and became regular in school. Then after completing her primary education she joined our centre for secondary level girl students where she met and was tutored by our teacher Yogita who motivated her for her studies. Neha is good at singing and dancing and CSSAR is always with girls like Neha to support them to fulfill their dreams.

CSSAR is now 10 years old and looks back at the journey with great pride and satisfaction.   The founder Mr. Yogendra Jha needs a very special recognition and appreciation for this achievement. The organization is still young and has many more milestones to conquer. On this occasion we would like to congratulate all the members of the CSSAR team for their sincere and dedicated efforts to move ahead against all odds.   However, all this would not have been possible without the unstinted and valuable support of our sponsors and donors: Give India, First Enterprises, Chance Foundation and the increasing number of individual donors. While we express our heartfelt gratitude to you all, we eagerly look forward to your continued as well as enhanced support in future. We hope that the information along with the visuals provided in the Annual Report would give you a better feel about the activities of the centre and would welcome your comments, suggestions or advice to enable fulfillment of our mission.
